It's the symbolism of the thing that rankles. Some overfed, overpaid, pampered guy who travels around in a private jet and whose company caused an environmental disaster in which a few good men perished simply should not be heard to whine about his [posh] life. He should have sucked it up, gone sailing for a few days anonymously without a hint of a whimper. He gets paid a lot of money to present an appropriate face to the world. Sheeez, he was probably thinking of booking a slot with Oprah to moan about things. Trust me, it was bad PR and it did not sit well around here. That stupid comment cost BP a few million. Which is why he's no longer CEO. I think he literally got sent to Siberia.
