That is an easy one. He did not spend that money. It is another made up lie by the right. Obama spent $1.7 million to shut down his campaign. McCain spent nearly as much after raising much less money. The lunatic fringe of the right wing, as opposed to the normal but usually wrong, right wing, being rabid about a black man in office, fantasized that these expenses were something he paid to keep the birth certificate from being seen. outsidethebeltway.com Now there is one insane naturalized citizen named Orly Tates who is suing Obama every week. Releasing the birth certificate did not and will not stop her. She forged a Kenyan birth certificate but didn't understand the dates of Kenyan colonialism by the English. She got history all mangled. Today, after the release of the birth certificate, she is suing Obama over his draft registration. All of her law suits have been quickly dismissed, but govt. lawyers do have to show up to say that she needs a shrink, not a lawyer. But govt. lawyers do not charge fees. They are paid fairly low salaries to deal with nuisance suits all day long. So, the birthers got that wrong, too. But they had to make up something for their "Today In Racism" interviews. <G>
