A friend's wife died of lyme disease years ago, '92 or '93, after eight or nine horrendous years ... they moved to Northumberland where she was from to get somewhat better service from the NHS, wasn't that great but far superior to the absolute stonewalling she got in BC ... my friend believes that if they'd clued in earlier here she'd still be alive and had a much better life in the meantime ... a mutual friend who is a doctor has explained some of the difficulties and learning curves involved, it is not an easy disease ... i haven't gone through your links here Tim, but will later for sure, heading out now

The health system in BC has served my family quite well, fwiw, maybe they're good at some things and not others, ideologically i'm opposed to govt control but it does seem to work
