4/29/11 Contest Update
Despite the distracting events in London, investors found time to pull themselves away from the telly to buy a few more shares of their favorite stocks.
At Friday’s close, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 15.15% YTD (vs. up 12.65% YTD a week ago) and the Contest median was up 15.22% YTD (vs. up 10.14% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 8.32% YTD (vs. up 6.31% YTD a week ago).
We now have an exciting three-way battle for the Contest lead. CRAZYP’s portfolio (up 40.40% YTD) leapfrogged into first place, with RRGE’s portfolio (up 39.42% YTD) and MCBIO’s portfolio (up 39.24% YTD) just a smidgen behind in the No. 2 & No. 3 spots.
At Friday's close, an impressive 34 of the 38 Contest portfolios were in the black with 19 of the 38 now beating the NBI.
