Intel did see the trend and they did plan years in advance. core2 that's the biggest history re-writing bs on this board. intel was pushing netburst really hard, promising 10 ghz cpus by last year. if it weren't for the hasids in israel they would've been in a world of hurt by getting hit by the power wall again and again.
