Good Morning Autumn

Thank you for that nice post<g>...

I really don't think that there was ONE player here that did not, or has not lost money between Aug and NOW!!

All the signs were there, over valuations, hugh PE's, bullish sentiment, speculative frothy comments, etc etc...

And then guess what??? History repeated itself once again...Amazing as it sounds, almost to the exact moment....Geez I must be brain dead...

Autumn I was there in 87, and boy am I pissed off, here I am again??? Sheesh!!! what a dummy, I swear I knew it, and was helpless to do anything about it...It must be my optimistic nature<g>....

In 87 the market went to 1700, I can tell you some weeks later it ABSOLUTELY RETESTED THOSE LOWS.....will it happen again???, who the hell knows, BUT, I would be very careful & very nimble, in fact lets keep one eye opened at ALL times...<g>

I remember I had bought CPQ at 12 bucks in the Summer of 86, in fact it was August I believe...I watched it go to 76, in Aug of 87, did I sell it NO, then the market crashed, it went to 26, on the retest...

I sold the damn thing at the very bottom, thinking Christ!!! we're going to ZERO!!!!! What a nut case....Oh yeah, I made money by LUCK!!!,, ah, hmmm, more like DUMB luck<ggg>...

Even with all the KNOWLEDGE, I lost a lot of money here and now...and I'm not happy about it...I have picked stocks that were right on, and almost every single selection made money, half the damn time I never sold them for the kind of profit that was THERE....I wound up selling for much less....GREED & FEAR & STUPIDITY, all human factors that we cannot get rid of....unfortunately.....

I don't care what kind of trader your are, and believe me I have the utmost respect for JUDY-NANCY-TT-KEVIN-MICHAEL etc etc etc etc....human emotions will beat you every time...

Now that makes you wonder, at least TT, trades his mechanical S&P's without emotion....We should all trade our stocks the same way...Buy a stock or an option and put a sell order in GTC, right then and there...What the hells the diff, if we miss a point or 2...So what!!!

For someone like me, this is my only salvation...I am too nutty, crazy, emotional, and way too optimistic, to trade manually...

I am actually going to try this for the rest of the year, and see what happens... Hey what the hell do I have to lose????, oh yeah, i forgot, it's real money huh???<VBG>..

I fully intend to work at this every day..tune out all this bullshit noise, and concentrate on the good trades, the safe plays...Geez there are so many solid quality co's that trade a range, every damn day-week-month---, you don't have to be a great stock picker, just a very diciplined money manager,,, Damn I spend money like its GOING OUT OF STYLE....

Well it's NOT!!!, i like it, I like to feel it, I like to look at it, yeah and I like the fond feeling I get knowing I have it!!!! However it does not make me immune to severe losses of this maganitude...

I flat out don't like to lose...never did...howvever, I am a graceful losser when it comes to gambling..have been all my life...

Yes, this IS gambling, the biggest and best arena of all... It makes Vegas look like kiddy land....

Anyway we are still all alive, we are still in one piece, albeit a lot cut up...:{...so we pick ourselves up, try to learn from all of this and just keep on keepin' on...:>}.......

I appreciate your nice thoughts and comments, keep it up, i like it!!!! My best to you my dear, Regards, Jerry
