Izzy & Oliver, the key to getting insurance co. and managed health care to pay and reimburse for treatment prescriptions is to use a specialized distributor like a STATLANDER PHARMACY.

A specialized distributor like Statlander cater and are well experienced to people living with terminal illnesses. They are aware of the needs and problems related to a terminal illnesss health crises. They know how to work with insurance companies and know all their tricks and subterfuges.

I, myself receive my required meds (thirty day supply) on the first of every month. Incidently, it is shipped a week early(for precaution) and can be expressed mailed. Since I do not have a full time employee for receiving, I choose to pick my supply up at the local distribution outlet in Chelsea.

These specialized distributors are so good that they even make you aware in advance when your prescriptions are expiring.

In the beginning I used Duane Reade (chain store retail pharmacist) and it was a disaster! Talk about missing dosages. Duane Reade did not have a clue. Often they would not have a drug available when needed. It was a nightmare!

Hope to shed some light on the subject especially for those considering treatment.
