whatever the public costs of Afghanistan , the hidden payments to Pakistan to conduct opps would probably add another 50% to this war if accounted . There will be some reprisal actions by extremist groups in PaK but we have already donated Billions for any clean up . Relations with the Paks had more recently deteriorated due to Drone overflights , the time had come to end the Osama Chapter & close that book.

Bin Laden's compound was in a wealthier section of this city , housing mostly retired Pakistani military , some surprise? The longer they kept him under wraps the longer they kept recieving the payloa , 10yrs worth . About the amount of time it has taken us to rebuild our own mortally damaged intelligence assets .

Since Gen Petraeus is due to retire in Sept & Obama had already assigned to nominate him for the Director's post @ the CIA , the timing was opportune ? For both of them , but Petraeus is a brilliant strategist & should be a coupe in that post ...lets hope .

Roman hegemony empire =redux.
