Are you familiar with the basic differences between VLSI and LSI (i.e. the companies) insofar as their respective technologies for ASIC design and manufacturing? Is one begining to develop as more of a standard for certain types of products than the other, or are there any significant advantages to one over the other from a manufacturing standpoint? Any suggestions on discussion sites of same or just information available on-line would be appreciated.
