=== It hardly provided honors to Obama. You probably meant Osama. === Sorry. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between the two. === But still there were no honors. ... Who cares. It means nothing. === Who cares? I do! Plus, it obviously will cause pain to many of the survivors of the attacks on 9/11. It is easy to say that it meant nothing, if you were not a victim of Osama's brutal, insane, murderous attacks. === We are a civilized society. We don't drag the bodies of our enemies through the dirt. We don't hang them from bridges and burn them. We don't decapitate them and put the heads on the end of a stick. === It is not an either/or situation. You draw an extreme parallel between giving Osama's body undeserved honors and putting his head on a stick, which I did not suggest, even though it seems like a good idea. We could have given him a burial at sea, without bestowing Islamic honor upon him. It sends a bad message to the uncivilized, unwashed, uneducated muslim masses out there that Osama was a hero in our eyes too. It will lead to more Islamic terrorists, not less. It puts Americans at more risk, and for that, his honorable burial was a bad, stupid and reckless idea! |
