I hope to be in a lower bracket then 35% when I fully retire, if I'm in a higher bracket I'll take out less that year. Since I can live off other investments

But in the mean time, I haven't been losing 35% of my IRA investment to Uncle Sam.

That extra 35% over the years has added up, plus the return from it

but it's different for everyone
