With all due respect KZAP, your broker is full of it. What he meant to say was this: When certs are delivered to you, the account value of those certs is removed from your account. Why? Cause you got the stock, not the broker. As such, you could sell those certs to Joe Blow on the street or thru any other broker and not have to pay the commish.

My broker at Scottsdale told me that all I got to do is bring the certs to his office by settlement day when I decide to sell. It's just that simple.

Me thinks though, since I've heard this pseudo tale of difficulty before that there's more to it than brokers upset about giving up the commish.

Remember, we're asking for the certs to take them out of the DTC loop with regards to those short slimes who short shares because they see reports that show they exist IN STREET NAME somewhere. They can't short em if they can't find em, like if they're in your safe. Maybe this is more prevalent than thought before.

Anyway, demand them. The longer it takes to get them simply means that Shorty's kehones are gettings squeezed even tighter.
