Nonsense. There is no causation here, there isn't even correlation, they didn't implement libertarian principles.

There has never been a case, in all of human history, where anything else has resulted.

And there has never been a case in all of history where a strong implementation of libertarian principles lead to something like Somalia. Mainly because such a strong implementation has never happened. There are OTOH many examples where strong active national governments lead to us to incredible horrors, and many more examples where statist ideas lead to problems and to relative decline of nations.

A weaker implementation of libertarian principles lead to the success of the United States, which is now somewhat threatened (at least in relative terms, in absolute terms things would have to get noticeably worse to cause an actual long term decline) by our move to a more centralized and heavily statist paradigm.
