Most sane people recognize there need to be restraint in future spending increases. Actual cuts would be nice, but probably aren't going to happen, at least not substantial cuts. Tax increased don't get to the core of the problem, which is one of out of control spending. If a small tax increase could politically make spending restraint possible, than the damage it does will be worth it. The problem with that trade off is that its been made before, and the politicians don't follow through on the spending restraint let alone cuts.

I said both are needed......restrained spending and increased revenues. We will get no where so long as people like yourself are so fixated on your ideology. You're not pure. You're not 100% right. You're not smarter than the rest of us. Learn to develop some flexibility.
