Of course. Recipients of food stamps don't want to get rid of food stamps. Recipients of corporate welfare don't want to get rid of that, either. Recipients of the EITC are all about keeping the EITC. Foreign countries receiving foreign aid want to keep it. The military wants to keep its budget.

Everyone wants to keep everything.

Only when you explain that we can't afford all this shit do people say, "Oh, well, I didn't know THAT."
