I've never used a 2200 to talk over the net but I'd be very surprised if you couldn't. I'd also be very surprised to know that the sound in a 2200 is not full duplex. Even $20 sound cards these days are full duplex. Since the modem is separate I don't see any problem with that.
Also, sometimes half duplex setting make it easier to talk.
I have talked to people that have sound integrated on their motherboards. I have one computer with an IBM mwave integrated modem and sound card and even that works.
You might want to contact Cyrix, Webphone and Vocaltec and ask them
if there have been any reported problems. Some net phones have additional features that require a Pentium 75 or greater and use the
Pentium FPU to advantage. Cyrix 6x86-PR200 has no problem with these features for me.
