I think your buds have pretty much got it right. Depression and deflation will come if Fed doesn't introduce QE III or some variant, and if they do, time to load up on gold and silver again.

Me? This is the way I make my living, and I can't afford to take a big hit waiting for the eventual turn maybe 8-12 months hence.

So I've pulled in my horns. Actually, I've been largely in cash for nearly a month now.

Other than that, we respond as events unfold.

It's going to get nasty.
