NetQin Mobile Inc., a Chinese maker of Internet-security software, on Thursday delivered the worst first-day performance of any initial public offering this year in the U.S.

The company's stock closed at $9.30 a share on the New York Stock Exchange, down 19% from its IPO price of $11.50. It sold 7.8 million American depositary shares at the high end of its $9.50 to $11.50 price range.
