5/6/11 Contest Update
It was Osama Dead Week and apparently the Bulls were mostly too busy studying for finals to bid up stocks.
At Friday’s close, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 14.12% YTD (vs. up 15.15% YTD a week ago) and the Contest median was up 9.82% YTD (vs. up 15.22% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 6.58% YTD (vs. up 8.32% YTD a week ago).
ACHN's Friday jump helped put MCBIO’s portfolio (up 34.94% YTD) back into the lead, with CRAZYP’s portfolio (up 32.18% YTD) and ROCKY’s portfolio (up 32.14% YTD) running neck and neck for the No. 2 & No. 3 positions.
At Friday's close, 32 of the 38 Contest portfolios were in the black with 14 of the 38 beating the NBI.
