"Be careful what you wish for" - not quite so simple. Conservatives could find themselves on the receiving end of this. Maybe more clarity on the criteria for government funding should be explored.

NDP could be a catalyst for resurgence of separatism in Quebec, or for the Liberals to come back en mass.

Harper has to pay more attention to winning the NDP seats across Canada in the next election - pay more attention to regional politics, the NDP did.

Young Trudeau could become the Liberal Messiah. There are a lot of people in Canada who still revere his old man, and could vote for the name again - not much difference between Liberal/NDP platforms that I see.

I like the US model of party allegiance. Once a member always a member, but you can agree with other party platforms or thoughts.

I am a Conservative, but have to like some NDP/Green issues. Tanker policy on the west coast - need the business, but let's minimize the risk to our shores. Environmental, specifically black water dumping on the west coast - cruise ships abuse this all the time. Why do immigrants get a better stipend than our seniors who have contributed all their lives? Better support for returning veterans, they did not ask to be sent.

The next four years are going to be interesting.
