I don't know of anyone who believes that, nor do I believe anyone who is paying attention COULD believe that. That speech, one of the most important of the last 100 years, the one that ENDED THE COLD WAR, has been chronicled in detail for years now.

What Reagan is ALWAYS acknowledged for is having the backbone to include the line against the recommendations of his State Department and national security teams, who were pussyfooting.

Obama's "Director of Speech Writing" is a punk kid with no meaningful life experience. The (now 30 year old) was a 24 year old kid when he wrote the speech that put Obama on the map.

He could just as easily have landed a job selling cellphones at Verizon. This is the substance of these speeches.
