True - until an event strikes their timeline. Many years ago my dad pointed out things like Pearl Harbor, The Cuban missile crisis, JFK etc etc as things that altered his life experiences. To me those hold less significance because I only read about them but I know I'd feel different had I experienced them.

Quite a bit different actually.....because I'd be about 75 years old
