Pg. 57 crapola: I was waiting to see any reaction to our favorite rag that always finds a way to mention small AGPH, with a mkt cap of just over 1 b, although there are so many more notewothy news that affect investors.
I will try to spare the conspiracy theory, but make up your own mind. Actually I was delighted to see this, we always get this rags mentioned, who has been bearish on this stock even when it was trading a 11 a share., just prior to a huge runnup to new highs.
All the rag says is that this piecof blank fund, that admittedly has a terrible performance record, has a short position in DELL, AOL, and Agouron. Pretty good company for such a small company in comparison. He says he looks for sales growth slowing in front of earnings.
here is the funny part: apparently it is called the "Prudent Bear", and although it has made some short term gains with the ASIA flu, since its inception two yrs ago, it has lost 15.82%, where comparable funds have gained 35.77%.
The article, appropriately is named, "short term gain, long term pain".
Yes there is a significant short position in Agouron, the stock is also down 27% due to the ASIAN Contagion, although it has no impact at all with this situation. When do the shorts take profits or are they waiting for AGPH to drop a few more. If the overall mkt begins to rally, as I believe it will by the end of Jan, I am confident rhat as the shorts take profits , we will be in the mid 50s as quickly as we went from the lows 40s after ICAAC, till we made a new high at 57, what was that, a week. Shorts , don't get greedy again. |
