Oh, I agree with your logic. The thread I was following was one where someone said something like "this stock fell so far, I couldn't sell it", or words to that effect. I have heard and seen a lot of investors practice that "principle" and I can't follow its logic. The only reason not to sell would be if there is no better place to put your money. And a completely rational person will make such a decision just as though the "bad" equity represented cash that needed to be invested, and search out a new equity. Follow me?
