I was at trader joes yesterday and they were selling "Old Fashioned Blister Peanuts." I bot a package and they are really good. It says on the packaging: "Generations ago, folks soaked peanuts in water to remove the red skins prior to roasting. This caused the peanuts to blister during roasting creating incomparably crunchy nuts." They really are quite crunchy. I wonder if these are the kinds of nuts they use in crunchy peanut butter?
