If Intel wasn't ramping up it's 22nm process for an attack on phones, perhaps your assessment would be meritorious, but instead, well . . . . .

IS Intel ramping up its 22nm process for an attack on phones? Or is it going to use 22nm for the higher-performance-regime chips first?

"Atom SoCs are shipping now at 45-nanometer, moving to 32-nanometer in volume later this year, and then the Silvermont SoC's married with the new architecture will ship in 2013."

Seems Atom might not see the 22nm love as soon as you think.
