Well I don't think they are that isolated if there is barge traffic. 5 kliks is not too far to hack in a road. They can even build an airstrip. These kind of drill campaigns are shaggy dog stories anyway, so it will be a few years before they have to ship in machinery of size. My professors always used to tell me that you could fly all your equipment into a gold mine once and not break the bank, as shipping out the product, i.e. a gold brick was definitely profitable. Bond Gold's short live mine west of Pickle Lake at Muskesagagan Lake on the Meen Dempster was build by air craft. They use to land DC3's on the ice on skis to supply. Surprising the trend was never hammered.

Could be an interesting story.
