Those two were good for gas shale.

Big oil fights back and get HR 1229, `Putting the Gulf of Mexico Back to Work Act'.

This is the problem of complex societies like the US.

Compounding the problem is the long stability the US enjoyed.

Those stable societies create too many collusions and they fight against change which in its turn causes stagnation.
