The Chinese Govt is out to make sure that they have companies in China to mirror the US. They promoted BIDU over GOOG. They will promote RENN over Facebook. If the RENN management is corrupt, their political system empowers the Govt to purge the corrupt folks and install better ones.

Just my thoughts or dream, however you may want to look at it.
