It is a marketing ploy, Ten.

I'm sure INTC commonly produces 300 processors in a month so they can take advantage of the huge of marketing benefit of claiming, "Demand is so great, we sold all 300 we produced!"

Btw, they're now saying they're going to shut the plant down for two months in Jun and Jul so they can retool to build more. But supplies will be further limited as a result.

So, they're covered until August. Sounds like buying time to me. I can't wait to hear what they come up with then.
