Read the actual CR issue, dummy! They tested the Volt, and only had a sidebar on a Leaf they were beginning to test.

The Leaf:

"It said it would be a good second car in urban area if it is in "a temperate climate." Guess that rules out the Northeast, Midwest, deserts and a bunch of other places."

The killer for the Leaf is that, when it DOES run out of juice, all you can do is have it TOWED! Not so the Volt. Look for some hilarious "Leaf ran out of juice in a traffic jam on the expressway" tales!
