>>CLIK could replace 35mm film in the future. <<

There, now you HAD to bring this up (yes, again on this thread)...

Sigh...

Regular film photography is an photo-chemical art. Something magical happens when photons hit the chemicals on good quality film. In the hands of a competent photographer, one can elicit emotions from the resulting photographs. Digital photography does NOT offer the same type of image quality that film does, either in pure refinement, or in a more esoteric, artisitic quality. A friend of mine has a Casio Qv-100 digital camera. It's fun and goofy to play around with (for about 5 minutes),but then he puts it down, and walks out of the door with his 35mm camera to go take real pictures. He has never used the images from the digital camera for anything--not even to put on a web page. The image quality sucks that bad compared to scanning in a real photo. Professionals (a large part of profit for the photography/cinematography industry) will continue to use film. Consumers? Some early-adopter types may splurge for the digital cameras with Clique, but Grandma Johnson would just assume use her trusty old film camera whenever the grandkids come over.

Anyway, ENOUGH of this topic. You mentioned that you love your Mac OS 6.0 er...I mean, Windows95. Such is your choice. But don't forget that not everyone buys something just because it may seem everyone alse has it. Remember, I have a SyJet hooked up to my Mac and E-Mu sampler right now.
