I agree that RAPT's typical pattern is to be a stock that moves up more after the general market leaders take off. During corrections such as what happened in Febuary was frustrating for me with RAPT because when the market started taking off in April-May Rapt never seemed to follow until much later on. I have been looking at Checkpoint Software this weekend and I'm almost inclined to buy that stock before RAPT. Their earnings growth is the highest in the industry and I think it is a stock worth looking at. Yes it's high priced but like you said sometimes picking the underdog doesn't always work out too well. Checkpoints movements seem to be more consistantly in an uptrend where RAPT seems to move up in spurts followed by selling pressure. Anyway, I'll probably watch rapt and if it gets in the $10-12 range I'll probably buy it since I see little risk if I hold until the new year.
Good Luck,
Ron
