Jim, > How's Jerry Brown doing getting that budget under control? He seems to be doing OK. All he needs is for the voters to approve some tax hikes and he's got it balanced for this year. Only problem is that California's budget problems are chronic. State government continues to grow by design, and no one is willing to change that. Even repealing Prop 13 won't help. A fact our resident shut-in can never accept, given that he continues to blame his flight from California on everything but himself. Tenchusatsu
