Hopkins was terrific again last night and he came through with another amazing accomplishment. But he was even better against Pascal in December and I thought Hopkins really got robbed in that fight and for some reason it still bothers me.

Pascal hurt Hopkins twice yesterday, early and late in the fight with winging punches that kind of came out of nowhere. Hopkins had to use his guile and amazing recuperative powers but I didn't enjoy seeing him get hurt like that and it's surely a sign of age and a decline in his skills that he even got hit with those punches.

I don't want to see a rematch with Pascal. He didn't learn anything from the first fight and is likely done learning anything new in boxing. Dawson and Bute are fights I would look forward to seeing. It's really amazing what Hopkins is doing in his post 40 years of age career. Taylor twice (he won them both), Wright, Calzaghe (you could make an argument), Pavlik, Tarver. Really unbelievable.
