I hope you were not trying to use your machine while MSE was doing a files scan.

One feature of MSE that I like is that you can limit the amount of CPU time it uses. I have mine set to 40%. I wouldn't do anything too demanding while its running, but I can do web browsing, or run non demanding programs. (I have a system with an Athlon 64 x2 5200 (a dual core 2.6ghz chip), and 4 gigs of ram).
