Bill, EK is getting slaughtered because Fuji did their homework. call any professional photogragher and chances are if they are shooting color film, it is Fuji. Fuji has introduced wonderful products and good service, they recently got the accts. for all of the film processing for Wal-Mart and Sams Club. Kodak has some excellent products but has been consistently loosing market share to Fuji.

I totally disagree when you state nondigital will be viewed an an antique 10 years from now. Image quality is everything, if I could get the best image quality from a 35mm I'd use it. But here is the reality of the situation. The size of the Negative determines the quality of the print. Would you rather have an 8x10 print made from a negative the size of a postage stamp or the size of a sheet of notebook paper? I know which one you would choose. If you only plan on making 4x5 prints the by all means go spend a thousand dollars on a digital camera. If you want to make and 8x10, stick to film, you'll save a lot of money and be happier with the results. Film and paper will alway be here and there will be a good sized market for it down the road 20 years from now. I have camera's made in 1960 that I use all the time. why? because the image quality is superior. Digital will not change that for a long long time. So untill then I will hapily use my "Antique" camera's for all my critical image capturing needs.
