I am very confused. There is a lot of press about Y2K problems and how this can bring the economy down. So, one would expect the Y2K stocks should be doing good because of this increased publicity. Well, some are and some are cut in half. It is confusing while IMRS went down but MAST, CBSL are going up while all the three are looks like identical triplets. Sometimes I wonder about manipulation to let the big guys accumulate while the small guys are selling out bleeding in fear.

For example,
IMRS 37 to 19 1/2
PTUS 32 to 16
DDIM 40 to 20
VIAS 65 to 33
SEEC 37 to 21

But some are doing extremely good (overall market drop?)
KEA 39 to 29
CPWR 36 to 34
MAST 36 to 33
CBSL 40 to 35
....

Which stocks would you recommend to someone in Y2K sector with 12-18 months outlook. Because of the end of the year taxselling is upon us, the weak may get weaker. Though VIAS, DDIM, IMRS looks good, it may even dip further. On the other hand, by chasing KEA and CPWR, I am worried they will get the next axe when rotation comes in.

I had ALYD before and sold out for small profit. Worried about its BB status. Have a small position in IMRS and PTUS with deep losses.

Would appreicate your thoughts.
