Something that Obama supporters should be asking is: "has obama lost or gained supporters (voters) in the past 2.5 years."

Obama won with 53% of the popular vote.

there's no doubt that Obama has held his core liberal supporters. But has he kept the middle?

about 132 million voters turned out for the 2008 election. Has Obama lost 5% of the votes that he got in 2008? That's about 6.6 million voters....

My belief is that Obama has not gained one voter since the election. I believe that it took every ounce of effort (and dollar) that the democrat party and acorn and the unions and the environmentalists could muster to get that 53%. In addition, I think that there was a huge contributing factor of Americans wanting to prove that they were not 1. Racist and 2. Were so enlightened and open minded that they would elect a guy with a name like Barack Hussein Obama.

Obama's blatant racism, complete lack of understanding about the economy and total bumbling of international affairs has lost him a lot of voters. Is it 6.6 million voters? We'll find out in 1.5 years. Gasoline prices aren't going to help him. Especially when his cabinet stated their intention of driving up the price of fuel...and then Obama follows through with crippling domestic production...while giving handouts for brazilian production.

And if we have a stock market crash..that's not gonna help (and the indicators that I watch say that it is coming soon!). And if housing prices continue to drop...that ain't gonna help.

And it's not like Obama can pressure the fed to drop interest rates to help jack up the market. The only thing that Obama can do to stimulate the economy at this point is to cut taxes dramatically. Especially for businesses. What do you think the chances of that are?

nope...I'd say that the ABB (Anyone But Barack) factor is going to kill the dems chance of getting the presidency in 2012. Best thing the dems could do right now is run Hillary. I think she'd win. Otherwise....a poodle would beat Baracka
