And a country that isn't part of the US. It is funny how the Right feels that when US and Israeli policy conflicts, the US should change and conform to Israeli demands. We do this for no other country, not even close.

A big problem is that it is in the interest of the US to have a stable and peaceful ME. For Israel, not so much. Following Israel's lead has cost us a lot in both money and people. Despite that, Israel has done nothing for us. They had a perfect opportunity to volunteer to help with Kosovo. Odds were high that the rest of NATO would have declined, but the optics of an offer would have been great. Helping a Muslim population, etc. But they did nothing.

Of course, helping out a Muslim population would have driven their crazies even nuttier than they were. Which is probably why they didn't say anything. But we are expected to do their bidding despite groups in opposition here.

Makes no sense.
