Secondly, there is no question that there are pockets of conservatives in other parts of the country that share the politics of the South but they don't wield the power they do in the South.

Pockets? States and counties are not "pockets". Don't use the South as the scape goat for the failures of liberalism or the Democratic Party.

South, West, Midwest, Northeast. Just people. None more inherently better or worse than the other. You blame the people for the failures of liberalism? That's a dead end street, it takes the country nowhere.

Maybe, just maybe, you should think about selling the South on liberalism instead of insulting them? Blaming them?

Unless you don't care about actual policy and only care about got ya politics. Then the bash the South thing makes sense.

(I'm seeing more and more of the right wing crap in the left wing. There is no political home for rational people).
