Interesting post on Medicare. I have an 82 year old friend who recently had open heart surgery with a 3 way bypass and heart valve replacement. He feels much better and stronger but whether it will extend his life expectancy or how much is an open question. I also know know 2 other individuals who had colon cancer diagnosed while in their 80s and a colonoscopy at 75 probably would have revealed the early onset of the disease.
