Wasting two or more extra years of time and R&D expenses (Good for SD and employees and US economy however) was the complaint.

Luckily QCOM do have that much shareholder money to waste.

However what if it succeeded, QCOM share price would not stay in the mud for so long and should be in 70 to 80 range by now.

CEO's decisions do have huge impacts on share price. I used to own Apple right before Steve Jobs was back as CEO. I held for two years under John Sculley. Apple share price went no where then. We know the Apple price now.
