Hi Michal! Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. When you start talking y2k to non-initiates you get this look like, "you poor pathetic case. So you seemed normal but it turns out you have this oddball quirk."

In my case, this is a reaction I've experieinced even BEFORE y2k issues came up, but we can talk about that some other day. Anyway . . . here's my point:

Can we really blame these folks? A.) If you heard this stuff for the first time, it WOULD seem a bit odd. You know what I mean...a two digit field ending western culture as we know it. and B.) They have to tolerate our missionary zeal, our intensity, and dead certainty. Speaking for myself, I wouldn't want to sit on the other side of the table and listen to ME unload on y2k, especially during a nice dinner party.
