<<R&D Expenditures vs. Revenue Growth, 2 years out>>

This is an apples to oranges comparison. It should be R&D Expenditures vs Revenues, or R&D Expenditure Growth vs. Revenue Growth. I understand the point the chart is trying to make - that an increase in R&D has not produced corresponding revenue increases 2 years later - but do not agree with the methodology or conclusion. A simple comparison of R&D expenditures as a % of Revenue (2 years out or not) would be more useful.

Where did this chart come from? Is this an evaluation methodology I have not heard of? I am not convinced, but remain open minded if someone wants to take the time to enlighten me.
