I already said. GM's track record for delivering on their goals is abysmal. Overpromise and underdeliver.

You might think that the "230 MPG" claim doesn't apply, but to me it reflects on their credibility. How would you feel if Intel advertised the clock speed of Core i7 based on what it could sometimes achieve in "Turbo Boost" mode?

At least with Intel, the market gets to decide whether their claims are credible or not. With GM, politicians get to decide based on how many union jobs they can claim to "save."
