"So you were against taking Tylenol for a headache, but now that we have a severe migraine, you're all for taking morphine?"

Boy, talk about a confused metaphor. I don't even know what to make of this.

"Come on, CJ, deficit-spending is very habit-forming."

Gotcha. The Republicans have been pushing deficit spending, even to the point of saying it was a good thing, for 3 decades. And it is only when they bring the global economy to near collapse that they decide it would be a bad thing. While under the Democrats have pushed much better economic policies over the same period of time, resulting in the only declines in the deficit, and we are supposed to accept the ones who made the whole mess as the ones who can fix it? Especially when the first chance they got they trimmed some spending on things that actually help people and then turned around and blew even more than they saved on the military which didn't even ask for the money?

Is that the sort of fiscal "responsibility" we are talking about?

Giving Republicans control of fiscal policy is like putting a Coke head in charge of the DEA evidence locker...
