5/27/11 Contest Update
The devastating tornado that hit Missouri was pretty much ignored on Wall Street, which had a relatively quiet week.
At Friday’s close, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 15.71% YTD (vs. up 15.84% YTD a week ago) and the Contest median was up 13.64% YTD (vs. up 11.64% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 5.43% YTD (vs. up 5.67% YTD a week ago).
A promising Achillion heal booted Contest leader MCBIO’s portfolio (up 50.17% YTD) even higher, with CRAZYP’s portfolio (up 36.03% YTD) and ROCKY’s portfolio (up 34.95% YTD) remaining in second and third place..
At Friday's close, 33 of the 38 Contest portfolios were in the black with 16 of the 38 beating the NBI.
