I completely disagree. It is not just internet speed that makes a good hand-held computing device. Nor hardware. The key is software, and that is where Nokia was not in the league of Apple. Nokia never had the ability to create an OS worth horsepuck. They are good at building phones, not mobile OS. Nokia's move to WP7 acknowledges what was obvious to most. Even if Nokia had had a device already in place with Evdo speeds and CDMA networks globally, Apple likely would have had no hesitation, and would have had no trouble doing just what they did.
