Y2K BANKING: Year 2000 Solutions for Banks
marketpartners.com

Excellent site for bankers or anyone connected to banking industry. This is not an endorsement of MarketPartners. However, they're the FIRST company I've seen geared to this sector.

The major banks have been working on Y2K for some time. However .... from Senate Subcommitte Testimony ... Savings & Loans, Community Banks and certain regional banks are doing almost next to nothing! These institutions are in jeoprady and will be the first to fail.

"Firewalls" are being developed so that Y2K non-compliant financial institutions will NOT be able to do business with the Federal Reserve and larger financial institutions.

If you are dealing with a Savings & Loan or a smaller regional and/or community bank ... you might want to email this link to them.

Also, send them Yardeni's House Testimony (couple of links back). That should REALLY wake them up.

Cheryl

P.S. Everyone has to make their own judgement calls on what to do ... when. Whether they believe this is a problem or not. When things will get BAD. If things will bet BAD. FYI - I've called my parents and have already told them to NOT roll CD's over at any of the institutions I've mentioned.
